~Freeze your tomato paste!
Instead of opening a can of tomato paste, using 2 tbls of it, then tossing the rest because you're not going to use it anytime soon. Empty the rest of the paste into a ziploc bag. ( best to flip the bag inside out over your hand and put the past in the bottom, that way its not all over the bag) roll it to get it back into the shape of a cylinder, and pop it in the freezer. Next time a recipe calls for some, pull it out, pop it out of the bag, and cut off the desired amount. Return to freezer!
~Want to avoid frying/sauteing with oil?
Use the "dry fry" method. Adding 1-2 teaspoons of water as needed to avoid sticking.
